According Ebbutt and Straker (1995):
The students will learn mathematics if they interest and happy with mathematics, they have motivation to know what mathematics is. So, the teacher have to facilitate them, for example offering fun activities, have to know what students want to do, constructing the knowledge whose the students know in their last experiences, etc.
The matters which should be known by teacher are the students learn mathematics in different ways and also different speeds of understanding. So, the teachers should know the skills of the student.
Sometimes, the students need to work in group to share their own knowledge. But in certain case, the students could work individually to train the ability when they want to choose something.
And the last, the teacher maybe need the media for transferring material. Because maybe, with many interesting media, the students will understand the material easily.

Because of mathematics has relation in all of knowledge of human being, so mathematics is not neutral or free of value. Then, mathematics need social foundation to develop mathematics itself.
Mathematics can be divided into formal and informal, pure and applied mathematics.
a. Formal-Pure mathematics is mathematics for student at school and university.
b. Formal-Applied mathematics is mathematics that is developing in education or not, for example, in industry someone needs statistics.
c. Informal-Pure mathematics is mathematics that close with culture of pure mathematics.
d. Formal-Applied mathematics, that apply in many sectors. For example in crafts, marketing, etc.
Dowling on Ernest (1991: 93), mathematics is divide into 4 dimensions: Production (creativity), Recontextualization (point of view of the teacher and basic of education), Reproduction (activities in class) and Operationalization (application of mathematics). The second dimension of developing mathematics contain of 4 aspects. There are Academic (University), School, Work and Popular (consumer and public).

Intuition of Mathematics can be build from our characteristics of our intellect. So, we (not only people at school or in formal organization) have to think mathematically as our culture. And it can be our behavior. If its done in many times, the intuition can be constructed easily. Why we need to construct the intuition? Because intuition develop ideas or something new in mathematics.

Mathematical experience is needed to build mathematical intuition. But when we talk about the students, mathematical intuition can be build from mathematical skills and be supported by knowledge that the student have (we can called mathematical content). The other aspects that is needed when student want to construct their mathematical intuition are mathematical attitude, method, supporting behavior, and internal motivation.
The fact, the teacher and the student got pressure when the national exam would be come. And what the teachers do? Maybe they skip the material or the theory and gave the student question and question every day. And the effect, the students have poor mathematical intuition.

Let start to think that all of teachers want to be a perfect teachers for their students. But sometimes what they have been doing made the students be a weakness person. Why? Because the spirit is too strong, maybe it makes the students initiative be weakness. Because when the teachers accompany in many time made them always need another people to help them although it just a simple problem. Because the punishment means that the teachers life is too small as the students life.
The old man whose hair is white said that the teachers must reach their goal with their own knowledge. And it needs struggle and do not forget to always pray.
